A site you can walk away with

Etch Studio wants $590 a year and keeps your site in its own format. I started this one in FEWD Studio instead. It's a folder of plain Astro files and a git repo. If FEWD disappeared tomorrow, this site would still build.

What's in the folder

Open the project and you'll find nothing you haven't seen before:

ManifestShipper: FEWD StudioConsignee: you

Pathsrc/pages
ContentsPages, one .astro file each.
Pathsrc/layouts, src/components
ContentsA layout and six small components.
Pathsrc/styles/global.css
ContentsOne stylesheet, with every colour and font size at the top.
Pathpackage.json
ContentsAsks for Astro and nothing from FEWD.

You can open the same folder in VS Code, run npm run build, and deploy the dist folder anywhere that serves static files.

What FEWD adds

You click an element in a live preview and edit the real file behind it. There's a terminal for the dev server, npm and git, and a git panel to commit and push. When you're done, you close the app and the files stay where they are.

It doesn't sell you its own AI either. Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot run in its terminal, on the same files.
